Our Story
The Wallpaper Atelier was founded on a simple belief: that the walls of your home deserve the same care and craftsmanship as everything else in it. A note on natural materials Our grasscloth is intricately handwoven from natural fibres, giving each roll a captivating tactile quality that no manufactured product can replicate. As with all natural materials, each roll may exhibit slight variations in colour and texture, and seams will be visible — these are not imperfections, but an inherent and beautiful part of what makes every installation unique. Please be aware that on-screen colours and physical samples may vary from the finished roll. We are unable to offer refunds where colour differs slightly from a screen image or sample.
Professional Installation
Grasscloth requires experience to hang well. Unlike printed wallpaper, it cannot be trimmed in the same forgiving ways, and the natural fibres are sensitive to excess moisture. We strongly recommend engaging a professional wallpaper applicator for all installations. Full installation instructions are included for the use of your experienced grasscloth installation professional.
Seams & Variation
As a handwoven natural product, seams between drops will be visible — this is characteristic of all grasscloth wallcoverings and is not a defect. Slight colour variation between rolls is also inherent and contributes to the organic warmth of the finished wall.
Care & Maintenance
Avoid excess moisture and do not scrub. Dust lightly with a dry cloth or soft brush. Grasscloth is not suited to high-humidity environments such as bathrooms. With proper care and installation, it is a durable and enduring wall finish.
